ISO Certified – Press Glass achieves ISO 9001 and 14001 for operations in the Ridgeway, VA. facility.

 The ISO certification for PRESS GLASS ranks us among the most prestigious companies in the world.

Press Glass’ completion of the ISO certification process signifies that we are better equipped to meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders through the establishment of quality forward processes, risk mitigation, and fostering of a culture of continuous improvement. The creation, implementation, and certification of these processes demonstrates our commitment to quality assurance and customer satisfaction while also showing consciousness of material usage and disposal in an effort limit the effect of our operations on the environment. The implementation of these standards helps us improve efficiency and ensure our products consistently meet Customer requirements and market expectations for high quality products. To ensure we continue to meet these standards, a re-certification audit will be performed every year.

In early 2023,  we began  preparatory work for the coming ISO certification audit in October. With this goal in mind, during Q1 the teams worked on documenting all processes to present during the GAP analysis in March.

The purpose of the gap analysis was for each department to review their current process information with an ISO consultant and determine what additional information was needed to fulfill the certification requirements. After the gap analysis, their individual work to document the necessary additional information and improve the processes continued over the course of several months in preparation for the official first stage audit.

During Q3, the first stage audit took place where the Quality and Technical Support manager, Adrian Wezgowiec, participated in an online audit. During which he and the auditors reviewed all drafted processes. After the audit, the auditor’s revisions feedback was given to the process owners.

After all revisions were completed, the next stage was the final audit which happened during the week of October 23, 2023. Each department manager was assessed by a group of three ISO auditors in the presence of Adrian Wezgowiec who was appointed as the Press Glass management representative for quality. During the audit, the processes were reviewed by the auditors to ensure the participants were executing their procedures according to the documentation. After the audit was completed, Press Glass received the news that they had received both ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications!

Through this certification process, operations in Press Glass Inc. of Ridgeway, Virginia were documented and reviewed to ensure they are forward thinking and make fabricating quality products of the highest priority. It is through the implementation of these new ISO certified processes that efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental friendliness have increased at Press Glass Inc in Ridgeway, VA.
